reboot and select proper boot device. Or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key.

Hey guys so I recently just finished up my build. Below I added a link to a few images I just took of the error, MB and other stuff. I got all the hardware installation stuff right, so I think. I went to boot my baby up and I keep getting a "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media" error. I changed all the settings that I could. After hours of researching I found out that either the SSD was bad or that it wasn't set as priority boot. Which it wasn't I went and changed the boot sequence. I also read that my SSD could be bad, however my computer recognizes it. My SSD is brand new and has nothing on it, it's completely empty.
It's a kingston V300
My motherboard is a Gigabyte z97x-ud5h
images of my error, MB and other stuff
Link to info about motherboard

Thank you!

It's not really an error, it's just asking what you want to boot from. THat error is displayed when it cannot find an operating system to boot from (something with a boot manager). If you've already installed Windows on your SSD, then you want to select your Kingston SSD from the Boot Override menu. If you haven't installed Windows, then you definitely don't want to boot from your SSD, since it is blank. You want to boot from your Windows Installation media (CD or USB).

Yes my SSD is brand new with no data saved on it.
Sorry to be a complete noob. But, I'm really confused about this whole bios thing. What are some of the main configurations that should/need to be made before installing windows. I've read that Windows should only be installed after BIOS is all finished.

Everything else I read on here stated that I shouldn't be getting this message that I should be brought up to the BIOS screen automatically on start up, which I'm not.

No problem, just make sure your Boot Sequence is setup to boot from your windows disk first. So if you have a Windows 7 or Windows 8 DVD, you'll want to put that in the drive and make sure your BIOS settings boot from the DVD drive first.

Once Windows is installed on your SSD, then you would remove the disk and change your boot order to put the SSD first.

If it's a new drive with no OS on it, that is exactly the message you will be getting. It will not go automatically to the BIOS, it will stop and maybe give you an option to go to the BIOS to select the proper boot device, but it won't just enter the BIOS menus on it's own. Boot off the OS disk, install, message will go away.
