How can I use two wireless modem/routers?

Hi all,

I have a D-Link DSL 2750U wireless modem/router. I had the exactly same model two months ago which died. Now, a replacement is on the way and I'm wondering how to use the replacement model.
Both are of exactly same model so please suggest me on the ways which two routers can be used.

Could set them up as separate nets, i.e. 1 available to all and a separate one that's locked down to certain devices or users....or if no need for two sell one or just keep as a backup in case one or the other dies, I always try to have a few spares around in case something happens to mine or friends, family, clients have a problem with theirs
