Hi,

I'm planning on buying a system (actually been doing that for quite some time now...even created a tread here asking about it.....) and here I am doing it again, though it's a bit different now.

I have 2 systems in mind (xeon and i5):

i5-4670 system

  • ■ Intel Core i5-4670
    ■ ASRock B85M-HDS, B85
    ■ DDR3 Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 1600MHz CL9 1.5V
    ■ Seagate Barracuda 3.5'' 1TB SATA3 7200RPM 64MB
    ■ ASUS Radeon R9 270X, 2GB GDDR5 (256 Bit), HDMI, 2xDVI, DP
    ■ Corsair CX500M
    ■ Fractal Design ARC Mini
    Total cost: 872.23$

xeon system

  • ■ Intel Xeon Processor E3-1230v2 3.30 GHz,
    ■ ASROCK B75M-DGS R2.0
    ■ DDR3 Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 1600MHz CL9 1.5V
    ■ Seagate Barracuda 3.5'' 1TB SATA3 7200RPM 64MB
    ■ ASUS Radeon R9 270X, 2GB GDDR5 (256 Bit), HDMI, 2xDVI, DP
    ■ Corsair CX500M
    ■ Fractal Design ARC Mini
    Total cost: 896.80$

I'm not planning to overclock or upgrade CPU in the future. Any part that I'd be willing to upgrade is r9 270x. Most of the time this system would be used for gaming.

I would like to hear your which build is better in your opinion. And why do you think so. Oh if you have any advices for me, please share them.

Thanks
