trying to connect new wireless router/modem to cell phone and ipad. it asks for password and I enter password from bottom of new router but wont connect.

Sometimes there is confusion between the password required to get into a router's settings pages and the wireless security key which is what your cellphone needs to know before it can join the network. Use your PC to find the security key by following the instructions in this thread:- http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/38111-43-find-change-wireless-security
