My PC Restarts automatically when I run a Game

Well, I just bought a new Graphics Card yesterday. I've tested it with MotoGP14, works fine. Then I run Sims 3 it works fine at the first time, then I make the graphics setting Maxed all. After restarting the game it restarts my computer. Does it's cause by not enough power by the power supply? Please help me fixing it.. Thanks!

So here are my PC specs:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Processor: AMD FX 8320 8-Core Processor 3.5GHz
Mobo: Gigabyte 970A-DS3 AM3+ Socket
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 280 Dual-X 3GB GDDR5 (Just bought it yesterday)
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 4GB 1600MHz (4x4GB - 8GB)
HDD: Samsung 750GB
PSU: AeroCool Strike-X 600W (80 Plus - Bronze)
CPU Cooling: Cooler Master Seidon 120XL
Casing: Cooler Master HAF912 Advanced

Solution
Well then, hopefully replacing your PSU will solve your problem. in the mean time, I'd set it no higher than 600MHz, as a PSU under stress will typically send out-of-spec voltages to a PC. This is what is causing your restarts.
The Aerocool Strike-X is made by Andyson, which does not enjoy a stellar reputation. Although it is 80+ bronze, the tests are conducted at the unrealistically low temperature of 23C. At the more realistic 40C-45C a PSU is likely to reach, it will have de-rated somewhat. The fact that your problem occurs when your system is running under its heaviest load supports this, however another possibility is that your VRMs are overheating. Your motherboard does not have heatsinks on its VRMs, and you are using a liquid cooler, which does nothing for those VRMs; they may be literally stewing in their own juices.
If the restart is immediate, however, not after even a few minutes for heating, another possibility is that when you installed your new card, you did not first completely remove your old card's drivers.

I'm feeling very dissapointed because my PSU's are in the Tier 4. Damn it!. Well, I will try getting Cooler Master V-Series next month. So, does this problem are caused by my PSU?. According to the post you give me. Tier 4 PSU's are completely not suitable for something like Overclocking. My GPU is factory OC.

This thread is not Solved yet, so I'm trying to change PSU and back at this thread after testing it.

Whatever happens, getting a better PSU will be a positive step... but check the things Onus mentions as well... basically, you need to check you have good case cooling, ie more air being drawn in at the front than you are trying to expel (builds up pressure in the case, helping the exhaust fans do their job), then you would typically also have at least one exhaust fan in addition to the one on your liquid cooler

Onus had some good points. Also, did you buy the GPU used? Did you attempt to OC it? I had a similar issue when I first overclocked my GPUs. As soon as a game loaded, my system restarted. The OC was not stable. Put the settings back a little and it works much better than before, especially with anti-aliasing on 2x and 4x.

The reason I asked if you bought it used is because the person might have overclocked it and now it is not stable in your system.

The V-series are perhaps the only decent PSUs that CM still sells. Some of the Silent Pro were supposedly good, but "Extreme" anything was "Extreme"ly bad, as was the "Elite" line; both of those are inexplicably still being sold in some markets.
A poor-quality PSU is only one possible cause of this specific problem though. Make sure you have good airflow through your case. Something like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835708011 can be added to your VRMs to help them stay safe.

No I bought the PSU is "New In Box" but YES! I have used the PSU to overclock my Radeon HD7770 and that GPU is now DEAD! That's why I'm buying a New GPU. How can I revert back the PSU to factory setting? It is Possible?

What you mean by "only decent PSUs"?. Does it means V-Series is not Good Enough?. I think V-Series is suitable for my budget or what you think about it?. It is good for me to bought that PSUs?

Are you referring to overclocking the GPU or PSU? You don't OC the PSU. LOL

I was referring to the GPU being overclocked. You can check in AMD overdrive if the speeds are what that particular make and model have at stock.

Yes I have OC my GPU before I bought a new one. I have set back the clock to default but still dead LOL

Have you checked the memory dumps by chance? The restarting is normally the OS response to a BSOD. Using software like Bluescreenview is helpful and came point to specific software causing the issue. Also as suggested, if the GPU is OC'd in AMD overdrive, try tuning down the clock settings.

Another question is, is the PC rebooting immediately after applying the max settings or after some gameplay? Immediately after would make me think the issues would be the drivers but if you are able to get away with some gameplay, maybe GPU temps are to blame.

The V-series is made by Seasonic; they are good PSUs. So many of CM's other products are dishonestly labeled (fans too, per Anandtech), that I personally avoid the brand entirely; if the V-series is the only Seasonic-built (or similar high quality) PSU available to you, you may not have that luxury. All XFX PSUs are made by Seasonic.

I will try the software after work. Well, YES it's restart immediately after applying max settings on a game that are high graphics like sims 3..

Hm, I think it might be the drivers. Because I'm already using latest driver since I'm using my HD7770. So when I install a new GPU I just use it like that. Do I need to reinstall back the GPU drivers?

I have reinstall the driver but still not working? Any other idea how to fix it? PC restarts when running a game is soo anoyingg...

If it happens immediately, before anything has had a chance to heat up, then you may be exceeding the actual rating on your PSU; the new one should take care of it.
If it happens after at least a minute or two, then something could be overheating, either on the graphics card or in the PSU. You can try lowering the clocks on the graphics card and see if that helps.

Just run the game, then the game started just for 1-2 sec and restarts. Well, I'm currently reinstall back the drivers. Can you guide me how much I need to lower my core clock for my R9 280 Dual-X?.

My GPU default clock is 940MHz. How much I need to turn it down?
