Upon turning my computer on this morning I have discovered that my monitor is not receiving a signal from my computer. Windows launches perfectly I can hear the login screen sounds and I can put my password in and hear the windows welcome sound as well. I figured it was the GPU so I first switched plugs from dvi1 to dvi2, nothing. So I took the GPU out and plugged my monitor into the on board to no avail. To test the monitor, I plugged my monitor into my brothers computer which I am working on and I get a signal immediately, with no issue. I don't know what could actually be wrong here.

Well it sounds like the GPU has died - it does happen. What GPU is it? Does your computer have on-board graphics exposed that you could use? If so, remove the graphics card and try using that - if everything runs ok, the problem is likely your graphics card.

UPDATE: I have since re-seated the ram and cleared the bios no change computer still failing to display. I would almost call this a no-post except for I can hear the windows noises from my headset.

I already did this, it is in my original post I redid some of the wording if that helps. But yes I took the GPU out and plugged the monitor into the onboard, no effect. The computer fails to display but I know it is starting because I can hear the audio. The GPU is a Nvidia GTX 275

No worries, thanks for dropping by.
