I want to upgrade my system with the new Z97 board and dual 780 ti's. I'll be putting my i7 4770k, 16GB DDR3 1600Mhz, 250GB Intel SSD and 1TB HDD into the new system. I do plan to overclock the CPU/GPU as well, and running it all on 1440p. So is 1200w overkill, could I get away with 1000w, and which motherboard would be best?

no its not too much, but thats coming from a guy who likes a lot of headroom under load. You could get away with 1000W and still have headroom though
