Okay. This is my fourth stab at this problem. It's starting to become shot gunning my whole system really. Anyhow I'll start with my build.

ASRock FM2A88X+ Fatl1ty

AMD 7850K

Samsung EVO 840 250GB SSD

6GB of G. Skill 1333mhz RAM (3x2GB)

Corsair CX430M 430W PSU

LG Super-multi CD/DVD drive

Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

My problem is this. After, and sometimes during, the OS install my system completely fails to boot. I see the BIOS option screen, then it goes to a black screen with a blinking underscore in the top left corner. Sometimes it gives me no image at all and the monitor turns off. And yet other times it shows the Windows boot animation, but then goes to a black screen again... I also seem to get odd graphic errors. The mouse pointer leaving ghosts and scrambled pixels. The MOBO and the CPU are about 2 weeks old. The SSD and PSU are each about 2 days old. The only things on this that aren't brand new now are the memory and the DVD drive. Aside from it being a memory error I could only see it being a faulty MOBO and/or CPU or my copy of Windows is somehow incorrect, but I imagine if everything wasn't in order with Windows it wouldn't complete the install. I really wanna bash my head against a brick wall right now. I'm confounded.

I would check the CPU temps. Perhaps the cooler/TIM is not set up right.
Is everything default on the mobo? No overclock, no extra voltages etc?

If your windows 7 ultimate is a piriated copy then the copy could have issues (or infections) in it.

Otherwise I think it is a mobo issue.
Have you tried reseting CMOS and making sure that your ram and hard drives are recognized correctly in BIOS?

Yeah, everything is stock voltage. I haven't checked the temps specifically, but they seemed normal when I glanced. I've got a very open case and have a lot of fans sucking the heat out the case. The memory is from an old system and I planned on replacing it anyway. So I guess that's my next step. If that doesn't do it I'll replace the MOBO and CPU. Then I guess I'll fork over the hundred dollars for a legit copy of windows. If that doesn't do it I'm selling my electronics and moving to the mountains.
