My laptop dell insiron 15 3537 is showing black screen after installing intel 4400HD graphics driver & restarting i m trying to start windows 8.1 in safe mode by pressing F5 but it is also not working how i can resolve this problem..?

Windows 8 boots too fast to invoke safe mode from the keyboard (and it's not F5 anyway, it's F8).

my screen is black after starting laptop then how i can choose the options to restart in safe mode as per link mentioned in your answer..

I have the same laptop and also had problems of this kind (black screen when turning it on, or, black screen when shuting down and it stayed that wait, black screen and all the lights were flashing) when installing drivers on Windows 8.1. What I did was reinstal it again and first install the Intel GPU drivers, reboot AND AFTERWARDS installing the AMD drivers.

NOTE: All drivers were installed from the Dell web site.

Worked for me -> I wasted my 5 + hours looking for the solution. This worked for me!!!!

1.Turn windows 8.1 on in safe mode(By pressing f8 on startup)
2.Download and install latest BIOS file from dell (I installed A11. Mine had an old A05 BIOS file in it)
3.Download and install latest driver for Intel HD 3000(or 4000/4400 etc [mine had 3000])
4.Restart your dell inspiron in the normal mode again
5.Enable the intel hd 3000 if it is not enabled
