I use Logitech Anywhere MX mouse. It's a fine mouse.

But it recently started to exhibit a weird behavior: sometimes the mouse acts as if I double clicked it, when I actually just single clicked it. At first, I thought it was a hardware issue, and replaced the mouse with another new Anywhere MX mouse. But the symptom is back.

Where do I go from here? The driver for the mouse is the latest, too. I use Windows 7.

Solution
Its the famous Logitech dirty microswitch problem.

You can fix it if you can safely disassemble it and get to the microswitch.
Either but a drop of isopropyl alcohol or WD40 in the switch and let it sit a few minutes
Plug it back in and it should be good to go

My logitech trackman trackball does it sometimes

I also had this problem with my several mouses (2 3 mouses).. It's not a driver/port/system problem.. the problem is within the mouse part.. What I came to know is that I bought those mouses considering cheap prices and not reading the reviews.. Always get a branded mouse and keep that away from DIRT..
