Hopefully this goes in the right place !

I am building a new computer as my current 2600k and 16Gb is getting slightly long in the tooth.

PC will primarily be used for arch-vis and environment modelling, and rendering with VRay.
I would like to get into some fluid simulations for fun at some point.

I also need to do some basic photoshop and probably some kind of video editing, but not as a primary use.

On the side, I would like to do a bit of gaming when I am not working.

Anyway, this is what I have thus far:

I have discounted a Quadro and plumped for the GTX 770 4gb - hopefully that should be enough for displays, I am not interested in SLi, and for that matter I am not too interested in overclocking either.

*edit* I forgot to add, I already have a 240Gb Samsung SSD and a further 7TB in HDDs, dual monitors, mouse keyboard etc. Just have to reinstall windows 7 again :(

Any pointers before I pull the trigger on this and purchase would be appreciated, especially regarding the RAM, as I am not 100% sure on the brands etc

Ah you see this is what happens when I don't stay up to date with stuff.

Looking at specs and probable prices, I could only afford the 5930K - and when measured up against the 4930K it's specs seem to be pretty similar - except the whole access to the DDR4 RAM.
Is DDR4 going to be worth the wait? Plus I imagine prices for it will be higher, at least attaining 64GB would be out of my budget?
