Possible PSU failing?

Hello,

I installed a new graphics card and my PC had shut down a couple times without warning over the last week or so. I witnessed it with my own eyes about 4 times, all while gaming.

Interestingly, I left my PC on while I went to work and have come home to it being off and when booted I get the "Shutdown Unsuccessfully" error message, this has happened a few times as well.

I figured I would try to move my PC to a new outlet with less devices drawing from it and haven't personally witnessed a shut down since. Do you guys still think it was my PSU? Or, could the sheer draw of wattage on one outlet shut it down?

Thanks

Right, from what the little bit of research I've done it's in the bottom quarter for power supply manufacturers. Corsair is typically the most popular, I have heard that Antec and Seasonic are good as well. The PSU is not the best, but all the same should be able to handle a single GTX 770.

Back to the topic at hand...do you think it is my PSU causing these problems?

Do you think the problems I have been having is definitively the PSU? Corsair isn't good?

Corsair: HX , and AX series are decent.

Ok, I actually did a Heaven benchmark at full settings for like an hour straight loop and the computer didn't shut off, so I don't think it's the GPU, the GPU is in line with performance as well. My temps are fine, probably even on the cool side at load, so I don't think they are the problem either.

I don't trust AZZA supplies , that's what I would replace.

Cool, do you have a recommendation for one $100 or less that can handle the 770 700W or higher?

The ones from corsair that are better suited for systems are a bit expensive.

Corsair hasn't released any good supplies in the past few years except for a 1500w model.

Yeah, I'm not a guru, but they are the most popular without a doubt on any online website. I have seen a killer 1300W EVGA model that looks amazing and it's 190, I don't think I need that much grunt unless I have Dual cards right?
