Hello ,well i have an old system and the mobo just go fried for some reason so i was thinking of upgading.

Parts i Have:
CPu:core 2 quad q6600

Upgade parts:
Gigabyte Ga-g41m combo rev 1.3 Mobo
kingston 2x4gb ddr3 1333mhz Ram

Not sure if the ram is going to work with the mobo atm so we will see.
Any advices, suggestions are welcome.

For the motherboard swap, my only concern is about the OS version you are using, is it Retail or OEM? If a retail version there shouldn't be any issues, if OEM you'll need to contact Microsoft to explain about motherboard replacement in order to keep the same OS license (assuming Win7 64bit).
My biggest concern here is why the motherboard may have died...

on the previus mobo a capacitor got fried so i will just go for the upgrade thanks.
