Would love to build a gaming PC to get back into CS. Stopped playing years ago and now have some money to build myself a pc. Problem is I know NOTHING. I have a friend who built his own pc who will help me build it but he is not much help when it comes to picking out parts. Please help

Would I also need a cooling fan? I do not need a copy of windows as I have an extra. I read up a little bit on the motherboard and it is not getting the best reviews. Any other suggestions since I can save 85$ for not buying windows

Modified it for not needing an OS and swapped out the motherboard (Amazon showed the previous one as 4/5 stars, but Newegg was a bit more critical.)

The case includes a front fan, but I added in one 92mm for the rear exhaust. The stock CPU cooler should be fine since you won't be overclocking. Also upped the GPU because you had some more room in the budget after the OS deduction.
