About 1 month ago my display started flickering occasionally, by which I mean, jumping and refreshing slowly enough that I could see a white background with black bar pattern for half a second. More recently is has gotten bad enough that it will sometimes crash to a white background and random pattern from which the only fix is a hard reset. It is not the cable, because I tried it with both a DVI-D and an HDMI and still had the problem and it isn't the monitor since that's new and it happened on my old monitor. I also have the most up-to-date display drivers.

My Graphics Card is an XFX AMD R9 280x

Edit: It crashed twice while writing this. It also seems like moving the mouse is enough to cause some flickering.

remove the gpu and see if the problem still persist or not if not then its the card and if it still occurs then its either your board or the monitor itself in that case you can test with a different monitor.....and btw is all your drivers up to date ??

I don't have a capabilities to test it in another system. My GPU is huge and it won't fit in half-tower cases which is all I have. Yes, all my drivers are up to date.

you dont have to test the gpu then just remove it and boot with your onboard gfx see if it solves the problem...
