I actually would stick with the CPU the OP listed, the i7. He could get the 8GB memory kit and use that towards a better GPU.

And please get a better case for the money. I would never spend over $100 on a mid-tower case. That case is good for functionality, but it is horribly ugly! LOL ;)
 

You should perhaps get a 1 TB HDD and get liquid cooling, IF the guy OCs heavily.

For gaming, my build would be the best as the i7 has the same gaming performance as the i5. I edited my build for OCing and better storage organization.

You should be able to infer that as his build was $1488 which probably means he has a budget ceiling of $1500. I don't know how a $1800 build is in his budget unless he saves up much more money.
 


ok no need to get rude. I just thought that he might have wanted a i7 and i got him some better parts i didnt know his budget was 1500$ ok next time i will infer or better yet how about I ask thanks.
