Would i be able to run GTA 5 on ultra settings (or whatever the highest settings would be) with the R9 290X GPU without dropping below 40 fps - if not then suggest the card that can

My specs are:
Intel Core i5 4670k
AMD R9 290x

I don't doubt. I can't tell the future, but I feel very certain that a 290x will be able to run it at 60+ @ 1080p.

Yes, but with six core and eight core (you don't need a 12 core just a wast of money) processors becoming. The nome and quad core processors going out of way, you might have a hardtime just dont be crazy with the settings gta as a lot of A.I. And a big ass open world .it is heavily bound on you cpu rather then your gpu .when gta 4 came out no computer on the market custom built or pre built could max it out hope its not the same i personally use two r9 290's Watercooled/overclocked to 1550mhz i play battlefield 4 @ 3840by2160 (4k) at 60+ fps and at 1080p its a solid 200 with dips to 195 (sorry my english I'm from Mexico just learning)
