Cameron Archer :
Seems like you've got the NH-D14 in there. Investing in the H100i would be a bit of a waste to be honest given how both of them are so similar, there's not much in it.
Your case does have the clearance up top for it though if you wanted to go for it. (C70 *brofist*).
Honestly I don't think it's worth it for the minimal performance gains.
You don't need fans on the side-panel window. Infact the most common mod people do with the C70 is to replace that butt ugly window with an all clear and/or smoked one. No fan holes.
Of course more fans help, but when you consider that they won't be filtered so they're going to be letting in a ton of dust, plus, it's going to make removing that panel tricky because you'll need to unplug the fans at the same time - It all seems rather pointless.
As for your original question though, there is a difference, but it depends on what type of liquid cooling.
AIOs (All in Ones) such as the H100i are going to give you roughly comparable performance to a high end air cooler, like your current one, with perhaps a few degrees less. The main advantage is being able to mount it out the way of anything, providing your case can accommodate it. Plus you'll have a much wider spectrum of fans to buy.
Sadly, it comes at the cost of adding more points of failure, such as the pump or any techno mumbo jumbo going on inside it (Like RGB LEDs for example).
Custom water cooling is where the real term comes from, and, it's very very expensive. Much more than a top end air cooler or AIO. In short, the pump is stronger, the radiators bigger and the fittings etc... generally made to a higher standard. Aside from liquid nitrogen, this is going to get you the coldest temps out of all three, by quite a margin.
It's up to you, but I say replace the window with a clean sheet of acrylic and rock on with that heatsink. It's a great cooler when you ignore the poop coloured fans.
Okay then, that does seem to help a bit more, how about fitting a fan to the bottom panel? Do you reckon that would be a good idea if I wanted to cool my GPU.
Well, speaking as a guy that has stuck a fan everywhere but that bottom slot. Nope... and yes.
It's certainly an option, it just falls into the same category as the side panel fans, in that it's a really tricky spot and ends up looking ugly. I would personally find it a bit annoying to unplug power supply cables without squishing it.
Then there's the issue of finding a nearby port for its cable.
I see you're still using the stock fans that came with the case. They're a bit pants. Your best bet would be to invest in a few decent fans and put them everywhere you can. Rear one, two top (Preferably 140mm for those), replace the two on the drive cages and pop two in the front if you haven't already.
Should keep things nice and cool.
As for what fans to buy, that's entirely up to you. I like the Corsair SP120s and AF140s myself despite them not being anywhere close to the best fans on the market. They just look cool. Currently rocking 6 SP120s and 2 AF140s.
(Oh and pro-tip if you go for them, remove the front dust filter to see the colour rings from the front of the case, because of the all metal frame you'd be surprised at how little dust creeps in without that filter in place, or any glossy plastic to attract it).
