Connecting a PC to a monitor and an HDTV using a Nvidia GPU

I'm trying to connect my to two displays, one being a 21.5 in. monitor and the other, a 32 in. HDTV, to my PC. I'm attempting to sync the two with my EVGA GeForce GTX 770. In the Nvidia GeForce Control Panel both displays are recognized. Right now I'm using my monitor as the primary display and it works fine but my HDTV is showing my wallpaper and nothing else. I can however scroll my mouse over to the HDTV and see it moving around on the screen but I am unable to play games, watch movies, or open any programs and have it seen on both displays. Can anyone help me out?

You cant have a game, movie or application open over both monitors, only one (or three).

Hold the Windows key and press P until you're hovering over "Second Monitor only" and everything will be displayed on your TV. This is what I do. I know it's not the solution to your problem, however I hope it helps.

Okay, thanks for the advice guys. Do you know why a PC won't sync with two displays? That seems kind of odd. Say if I had another HDTV I could hook up with my monitor and 32 in. HDTV, how would I do that exactly? I'm currently using a DVI-D (I think) and HDMI cord right now. Will I need a special connection thing to use for all three displays? Sorry for the all questions!

I suppose having a game running in 2 monitor mode would be difficult as the split would be right down the middle of the screen.

If you had an additional TV/Monitor you'd connect it in the same way you have your other 2 displays.

The only other slots that I have open on my GPU are the Display port and DVI-I so the other HDTV I have will have to have a DVI-I slot or Display port. Do you know how someone would configure a 6-way monitor set-up? Is their something that I can connect to the GPU that will give more HDMI slots? Once again, sorry for all the questions.

You could use HDMI to DVI adapters, or HDMI to DVI cables (I use one of these cables).
