I'm trying to install a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo into an asrock fm2a55m-vg3+ motherboard with an amd athlon x4 750k cpu. I have changed the bracket a screw location to match the socket and when the heat sink is not on the cpu the bracket screws in. However, when I try to screw in the bracket on top of the heat sink I can only get one corner in because it raises the other side. It seems like the heat sink is elevating the bracket too high.

Any ideas?

You screw in each screw little by little. You start in one diagonal. 1st screw - 1 rotation, 2nd screw 1 rotation, 1st screw - 2 rotation, 2nd screw - 2 rotation and etc. Then you put the other 2 screws on the other diagonal and repeat the process.

I was already following that but I didn't realize how much pressure I needed to get the screws in. Probably should have tried more before looking for help online. Thanks anyway though. :)
