Asus Z97 Deluxe WiFi card doesn't see 5Ghz network

Asus WiFi Go card supplied with MB (Broadcomm combined ac WiFi and Bluetooth). Installed drivers from MB support CD. It picks up the 2.4Ghz network from my dual band router (Netgear R7000). But doesn't see 5Ghz band. I installed a dual band USB adapter to compare, and it does pick up the 5Ghz band.

If you haven't already, I would go to the Asus support site and download the latest mobo BIOS and drivers. In my experience, the drivers on the support CD and the BIOS that the mobo ships with are rarely up-to-date.

I'm assuming that you've already checked that the adapter is fully seated, the antenna cable connectors are screwed in firmly and that the antenna is properly oriented.
