Is the GeForce GTX 870M 3GB GDDR5 enough for a dual monitor gaming setup?

I will be purchasing the new Origin PC EVO15-S gaming laptop and want to know if the GPU is powerful enough to run the computer monitor plus 2 other displays. I will mainly be streaming to Twitch with gaming on one monitor, CPU levels on the computer monitor and Twitch chat and the other monitor. Will I get any performance hits if I do this?

Solution
The GeForce GTX 870M can support up to 4 monitors including the laptop's. And since it has 2x16GB RAM and an Quad Core CPU, the only chance of getting any performance hits is if the CPU overheats, even then it will only be for about 5-20 seconds.

Okay so let's say I am playing watch dogs on highest setting how will the performance be then? The same? Also will streaming to twitch affect this at all? Also (sorry for so many questions) will it affect it if my computer screen is a 3K display?

I'm not completely sure but I do believe you would be able to play watchdogs on highest setting while streaming to twitch if it's 1080p monitors. On 3K monitors I'm not sure if it will be able to do it on the highest settings, could be possible but it'll play fine if you tune the settings down just a notch.

At 5760x1080, you will absolutely not be able to play Watch Dogs on the highest settings. At that resolution, the R9 290x and the 780ti can't hit 30 FPS. And the 870M is not a 290x or a 780ti, comparing it to a desktop card, it's a little behind the 760 and 660ti.

Supporting multiple displays and supporting *gaming* on multiple displays are two very different things. Now, at medium settings, you can likely play on three monitors and hit 30 FPS.

On a single 3K monitor, it'll be even tougher - you're adding a third more pixels going from 5760x1080 to 3840x1260.

Well I will only be playing watch dogs on ONE of the 1080P monitors. Not both of them. I will be gaming on one monitor watching twitch CHAT (not video) on the other, and monitoring CPU levels on my laptop monitor. Will tho still impact it?

Ah, then you'll probably be OK, though you won't hit 60 FPS (you'll have to be satisfied with 30-35 in all likelihood).

So would it be okay if I just go with a 1080P monitor for my laptop screen?
