Hello. I am working on building a computer and I've ran into bit of an issue. I have a NZXT Phantom
410 case and I am having trouble installing my motherboard into it. It's a standard Asus ATX board. I snapped the i/o shield into place and when I line up the motherboard with the i/o shield the motherboards holes don't line up with any of the standoffs. Whenever I try to line up the motherboard holes with any of the standoffs the motherboard doesn't line up with the shield either. Any ideas?

A case can get bent out of alignment in shipping. If it is very far out of shape, I would return it for a new case.

check if the i/o shield is in the right place and that some of those little tab on her does not prevent you to align the motheboard to the case .

you will have to line it up with the I/O shield, so that all the ports push through the correct holes -- and then you may have to gently force the motherboard to the left to get it lined up with the standoffs.

I'm talking a small amount of force, not so much that you will bend or break anything. I used the same case with an ASUS ATX mobo as well, and I did have to push the mobo to the left a bit.

I was having the same problem while building my PC, but I found that those little metal tabs on the i/o shield were keeping my motherboard from lining up with the standoffs. All you have to do is push the tabs forward so they're flat and not sticking into the case, the mobo should line up then.

Are the stand offs in the correct holes in the case?
