Hey guys, here today to ask a question about my internet of course.
So I play a game called League of Legends and so do many of my friends. I live in Ohio and my ping in league is at 125. My friend who lives directly down the street from me has a ping of 85-90.
He also has Time Warner.
Thing is I'd be fine with 125 STABLE ping. But every single time I play my ping spikes constantly up to 180+ every ten seconds or so and my game freezes for a few seconds.
I have no clue whats happening and I will provide any information you guys might need to try and help me fix this issue.
One weird thing i noticed is that when I had to get a steam code to unlock my account once. It said my IP address was located in Cincinatti..which is an hour away from me..I live in Dayton Ohio.
I just thought this was weird and maybe theres someone setup wrong in my router or something.
I have a bit of networking knowledge so no need to dumb things down immensely for me.
