What if I receive my motherboard DOA

So I am about to order the first parts for my first gaming pc budget build but I was wondering one thing.

If i receive my motherboard and it is dead, would i send it back to Amazon (where I ordered it from) or do I send it to MSI?

Amazon, call them, tell them it's DOA and see if they can express ship a replacement and send you a return shipping label - no need for you to pay return shipping if they send a defective item (though they may want you to pay, many on'line places do)
