I bought my first SSD a month ago for my new PC:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147247

I am not getting anywhere near the expected read/write speeds. I have the SATA port set to AHCI and am using a 6 GB/s cable.

Here are the benchmark results:

My new PC specs:
ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0
AMD FX-8320 @ 4.5 GHz (1.425 volts)
Zalman CNPS9500A-LED CPU Cooler
G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 (8-8-8-24)
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD
Western Digital BLACK SERIES 1TB 7500 RPM
PNY GeForce GTX 760 OC 2GB
NZXT Phantom 410 (Black/Orange) ATX Mid Tower
Corsair 600W Modular

If you would have followed the link I posted you would have seen this in a couple seconds:

I understand that I shouldn't expect speeds THIS high, but I was hoping to at least get close to 500 on the read!

Unfortunately I already tried samsung magician when I first installed the SDD. I optimized it and tested the speeds, with the same results as AS SDD.

Crystal disk mark however is giving different results!

Any idea why this is happening?
