So I just removed my
AMD Radeon 6670

And now I have a AMD R9 280.

I know I have to uninstall my old drivers of the 6670. I am in catalyst and go to uninstall. Which one do I need to remove? I don't THINK I need to remove every single one for just upgrading a GPU.

Also, upon uninstalling I have to restart my computer. Will my computer work without any graphics drivers? I'll be able to install new ones off of AMD for my r9 280?

Yes, your integrated GPU (like Intel HD Graphics 3xxx, 4xxx) will come into play when there is no main GPU i.e. discrete GPU.. You'll be fine and uninstall all old drivers.. What CPU you're using?

I am using an FX 8120. Which of those do I need to uninstall in the picture, if I am JUST upgrading my GPU. They're not all related to GPU.

No, you CANNOT boot a system without a GPU.. At least an integrated GPU is required, even if you boot, you'll have nothing on the monitor but if you've a speaker, you'll hear beep sounds.. What you've to do is install the new card in your motherboard.. turn on the system, uninstall the old drivers and download the new drivers and install them..

WAIT WAIT WAIT.. this is what experts say..
''Uninstall your old graphics drivers. Then don't restart the computer just say no and shut it down. Unplug computer, Install your new card. Plug computer back in, Turn computer on, then install new drivers. All done.''

This is EXTREMELY important, do NOT install the new Graphics card with the old drivers still present, it is highly likely they will conflict and cause BSOD's and basically start messing up your computer!

You must uninstall drivers, then power down, install new card, power up and only then install new drivers! It is NOT Plug and Play as others suggest, the drivers are a crucial piece of software!

Even I had problems with AMD auto detect, but an another way solved me the problem.. Nw, try downloading the drivers separately from AMD Website and install... This driver was released on July 9th and it should replace the older ones..

So now that it's installed, NOTHING needs to be done. This IS my driver. I don't need to uninstall. I'm done. This is everything. Just to verify. THIS IS MY DRIVER. I am done and nothing more needs to be done. I don't need to uninstall etc.

Just triple checkin

Yes, if you're not uninstalling, however, the new drivers will replace the old ones since they belong to the same AMD..

You may face some problems if you leave the old drivers just like that.
First of all you need to TOTALLY remove all the old drivers. Use this link.
http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/
Note:
Select the respective company(i.e Nvidia or ATI) drivers to be uninstalled.
Use clean and shutdown option.(I think so) or use the option which says for installing new graphics card.
And then install the new drivers after rebooting.

It's better to totally clean up the drivers for better performance.
