Gddr3 or gddr5

I am looking forward to buying a gaming laptop. I found 2 laptops that fit my budget : The Dell 15 7000 and the HP ENVY 15-j109tx . The main difference between them is the graphic card , the Dell has a Nvidia GT 750M 2GB GDDR5 while the Hp has a Nvidia GT 740M 2GB DDR3 card. Based on this will there be a major performance difference between the two ??

I am not expert myself and often ask help instead of offering it,but not that long ago I replaced my GT 440 into GTX 750 Ti, massive performance boost, also comparing #40 vs #50 in benchmarks there's huge gap all the time since #40 are the cheaper end poor performance cards, while #50 are the economic class most cost effective middle tier gaming cards

GDDR is most advantageous over DDR in high performance cards but it will also help quite a bit in midrange cards as well. If the price difference is not substantial, go with the GDDR equipped 750M

In this day and age DDR3 GPUS are all but gone, if budget allows always aim for GDDR the performance gain is present in all range of cards.
