Best budget GPU and cooler to replace my Tornado sounding GTX 465?

Hi everyone,

I currently have a GTX 465 running on my Core i3 system, with 8GB of RAM and SSD. I only play D3 nowadays, although I used to play LOL and SC2 as well. You can tell I don't play graphically intense games on my setup.

Anyways, I've lately noticed my GPU fan getting very, very loud, to a point where I feel like I'm standing next to a plane during takeoff.

I figured i might as well give a slight upgrade and while I'm at it get one of those aftermarket GPU coolers like the Zalman VF1500 (I'm located in Asia).

Any recommendations on a Graphics card + GPU cooler combo? I probably don't need anything much more powerful than the GTX465, just something with less power consumption and MUCH less noise.

Thank you,
John

The gtx 750 and gtx 750ti are hands down the best low power cards on the market, both will run without external power.

If you don't need a ti then get the 750, it's not much better than your current card but is significantly more efficient (65 watts vs 200 watts)

Hmm.. as much as it is tempting, I think it would be a bit overboard for my needs, since I don't play graphically intensive games like BF4 etc...

I'm currently looking into a 550ti or 560ti, since the power consumption (and hence in my opinion heat generation) would be a lot lower than a lot of other GPUs out there with similar performances.
