Hello.

I have just bought G.Skill 2x2 GB DDR3 1333MHz NQ Edition Dual Channel, and i have this motherboard: ASRock G41M-VS3 Rev 2.0

After installing the first time, i heard 3 beeps from the cpu that stands for memory problem, afterwords i did all the following:
1. tried each one individually to each socket.
2. updated BIOS to the latest version (1.80) for this motherboard.
3. pulled out the BIOS battery, then pressed the power button for 10 sec for the current to reset than plugged it in back.
4. changed the FSB1 to 2-3 as told to do when you use DIMM 1333 MHz. (ftp://europe.asrock.com/manual/G41M-VS3%20R2.0.pdf, page 11, page 21 for memory)
says: "If you adopt FSB1333-CPU and DDR3 1333 memory module on this motherboard, you
need to adjust the jumper. Please short pin2, pin3 for FSB1 jumper. Otherwise, the
CPU and memory module may not work properly on this motherboard. Please refer to
below jumper setting." and then the picture to how to set it.
5. again did all the above after doing step 4.
6. the old memory card which is DDR3 667 MHz works perfectly.

Any other ideas on how to make it work? because i am 100% sure that this motherboard accepts these cards.

Solution
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E7600 (3M Cache, 3.06 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB) is this your cpu? if yes then it is limited by design at 1066mhz. so you cannot run it at 1333mhz therefore you cannot run the memory at 1333mhz. if you cannot get into bios with the ddr3 ram modules and bus set at 1066mhz then you most probably cannot use them as the pdf clarifies!
''If you adopt FSB1333-CPU and DDR3 1333 memory module on this motherboard, you need to adjust the jumper. Please short pin2, pin3 for FSB1 jumper. Otherwise, the CPU and memory module may not work properly on this motherboard''

however, if you can get into bios you will need to compromise with memory set at 1066MHz !

The problem is that i can't change the bus because when i try to open the computer after installing the new RAM it doesn't even give me the BIOS menu but gives the 3 beeps. However, when i try to change the frequency from auto to what there is, with the old RAM is shows me only up to 533 MHz 1066 something like that.
Any ideas on how to change it without the BIOS?

Another question, the motherboard do support these memory sticks right? i am not mistaken?
In addition, my CPU is 3.06 GHz, ill give the full detail in couple of minutes.

Try each new ram chip on a different pc with more compatible motherboard which directly accepts them without any change in the settings etc, to make sure that both new ram chips are working properly? .. i know its a very basic suggestion, but heh, whatever works =D

yes they will.! however if i wouldnt though any more money in that system. it is outdated and you wont see that much of improvement, unless you could find a core 2 quad for a few bucks! http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/G41M-VS3%20R2.0/?cat=CPU here is the cpu support list!
