hey.....i wanna ask how to use a UPS for a very first tym......!!!!!

got a new UPS today........& its manual stats that "FOR BETTER PERFORMANCE....Connect UPS to power supply & let it reamin on stand by mode"
.........
.........
.........
i pluged UPS in wall socket & swich ON the wall socket...........& kept UPS power button OFF....now there is a YELLOW light there on
..............
...............
..............
am i doing right.....???
is my UPS is on stand by mode & charging the battery....???

yeah i have read the instructions manual.......about front panel indicators it stats that :
RED Light ::::::::: means Fault
YELLOW Light :::: means Backup mode
GREEN Light :::::: means AC mode
............
............
............
Moreover it is a 360Watt UPS & i have a seasonic 550 Watts SMPS with ATI 7770 1 Ggb......
.........
.........
will this UPS b workin fine with that 550Watts of SMPS.......???

It will depend on the draw of your computer at the time. The PSU does not always draw 550w, so if it is only drawing 360w or less, than yes it should work. If it is drawing more than 360w at the time of the power outage, i'm not entirely sure what the outcome will be. I would guess that it's either going to suddenly throttle everything or it's going to turn off. I know what happens when your PSU is underpowered, but I don't know whats going to happen if your PSU can't get enough power. Why did you not buy a 550w UPS?
