Hey there.

These are the things that I want out of this PC:
- Around 40-60fps in games on max settings at 1080p
- Good performance at light video/photo editing
- Not needing to be upgraded for at least 3 years
- Look good, that's why I have gone with quite a premium case
- Cost around $1,000 AUD

I'm still not sure if I should go with the FX-6300 instead of the i5-4570. I have seen on the 3DMark website that the FX-6300 beats the i5-4570 but I sought of want to keep this an Intel based system. I have heard that the components tend to play nicer if they are on the same side. For example, an AMD CPU + AMD GPU. Is this true?

Please note: if you are suggesting a new part list, please know that pretty much everything except the CPU, GPU and MOBO are set in stone.

Thanks for reading :)

The build that you have is pretty good. I wanted to recommend to lose the K on the CPU since your mobo will not allow for overclocking, but noticed that the non-K version is actually more expensive.

Now, if you want to go the AMD side, you can use the build below - from what I read the mobo is decent for overclocking, and for a smidge over 1000$, I put an R9 280x in there. However, if you do decide to overclock, you should also get a CPU cooler later on.
