Is it a good choice?

Hey guys,

i am planning on getting a PC soon which has A10-7850k, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD (will add the PSU and other things later) as I am a bit on low budget so the APU is the good thing for me. After buying it, I will wait for 2-3 months and then get R9 270x for it which improve it's performance drastically.

I heard from a friend of mine that I can run BF 4 Ultra at 90 FPS! if I include the R9 270x... So is the PC a good choice? (Excluding the R9 270x, which I will get it later)..

Thanks

I strongly advise against that APU. Maybe the 6800k but the price of the 7850k is ridiculous. Since you will add a 270x and totally skip the APU graphics then you really should buy a fx-6300 and a really cheap GPU until you get the real one.

A 270x will play BF4 on Ultra with 90fps if it is a 900p monitor. 1080p? no...if you want to hit 60fps you need at least a 280x.

i will doubt it very much that you will hit 90fps on battlefield4, more around half that. i have a r9 290 and get 90/100fps on ultra! and as envy14tpe said above, why bother buying a apu when your adding a graphics card to it anyhow...?seems to defeat the object really. and also as he said the fx6300 is a good choice for gaming to swap it with on a tight budget.

Well, the A10-7850K is like 12,000 INR in my country while the A10-6800k is like 10k - 13k INR, which do you recommend? Also, I want to pair up the A10-7580k with a good GFX card which can play games at ultra settings (latest releases) smoothly..

You can run a AMD A10 7850k with either a R7 240 or R7 250 and it would be considered as crossfire (Per AMD) so you should have decent FPS during BF4 since I do know that you can run @1080 at the low graphic setting with a more then playable framrate. So it can only get better with the crossfire.

UPDATE:The X edition of these cards will not work as a crossfire just the R7 240/250.

Since you are in India you need good cooling if you overclock. The fx-6300 isn't very good at stock but once overclocked it is. And that takes a decent mobo and good cooling. That's why I'd advise you to get a lower end mobo and i5-4440. Use this until you are ready for your 270x. Please, please, don't buy the APU.

Looked at prices on flipkart. You could get the fx-6300 + Cooler Master Evo + Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 (r4.1). The i3 is same price and the Intel CPU mobos seem a little pricey.
