Hi All..

I just upgraded my rig recently. I'm having a doubt whether My PSU is powerful enough to power the entire system. my configuration is as follow.

CPU: Intel i5 3470 3.2GHz
Mobo: Asus P8B75-M
RAM: G-Skill sniper 4GBX2 kit @1600MHz
VGA: Gigabyte AMD R9 270 OC
SSD: Intel 530 series 120GB
HDD: 1TB SAMSUNG + 250 GB SAMSUNG both @7200RPM
ROMS: DVD-RW X2
Armageddon T2 casing with 5 LED lit fans

And this is all powered with Raidmax RX-500AF a 500W power Supply. The guy at the stores said it would be fine. But I just want to know for sure that this thing will not blow up or anything.

PS: The monitor is AOC i2369vm via HDMI at 1080p if it relate to anything of the power draw.

Thank you all in advance.

Had it been a higher quality PSU, 500w would be fine. Seeing that it is RAIDMAX, though, makes me question the capability. Especially with the multi-rails. And if you ever wish to add another card, you'll definitely be hurting for more power. Try for a 750w, if that may be the future situation.

I, personally, would go with a single, powerful 12v rail. The PSU I recommend to many, based on quality (manufactured by Seasonic, branded by XFX) and price, is...

You can change the wattage version on the right.
