please guys i need help... i bought corsair vengeance 2133 Mhz and i have an Amd fx8320 and Asus M5a97 evo r2. I ve read that they are not compatible with 2133 Mhz ram is it true do i need to replace the ram to lower ones?

Solution
OC stands for overclock. If you want to run 2133 on your motherboard, you need to overclock the CPU. Sometimes, overclocking the memory controller on the motherboard will work, but there is no guarantee. You can try it with XMP. If that does not work, you can try setting the speed and timings manually. If that doesn't work and you don't want to (or can't) overclock the CPU, then you can down clock the RAM to 1866. RAM rated at 2133 doesn't mean it only runs at that speed. You can down clock them.
See your motherboard specifications here. I'll quote the portion below.

4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 2133(O.C.)/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz ECC, Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel Memory Architecture
* Refer to www.asus.com for the Memory QVL (Qualified Vendors Lists).
* Due to OS limitation, when installing total memory of 4GB capacity or more, Windows® 32-bit operation system may only recognize less than 3GB. Install a 64-bit Windows® OS when you want to install 4GB or more memory on the motherboard.
* Due to CPU spec., AMD 100 series CPUs support up to DDR3 1066MHz. With ASUS design, this motherboard can support up to DDR3 1333MHz.

I ve seen it and it says OC, does this mean that i need to overclock to make it compatible?
