So I was adjusting a fan that had its wires out..the wire touched my running graphic card and it sparked. The spark reset my compiter. It turned on but there we're horizontal lines on the screen. And when the PC booted there were weird characters on it. Also I had a dual monitor setup, it won't detect the second monitor. The evga application says some error. The PC started and it reset the display so it was all giant applications instead of small spaced out. Resolution was different.

Evga 560 ti, is my graphic card.

Please help. Thanks.

Try reseating the GPU (remove power connectors, remove from pci-e slot, put back in, plug back in), and unplug the system. Then plug it back in, and see if anything occurs. Numbers on a startup/bios screen usually indicate electrical errors.

This happened to a brother of mine's HD 6850...it continued to give him problems, even after we got it to work. I would replace the card ASAP, even if you can make it work.
