So, my laptop fell down and display got broken, so i ordered another one, i removed old one, put another, and still it isn't working, i got some light show up... i can increase and decrease backlight... i can hear everything, the startup... everything, and i tried to connect to external monitor(TV and Desktop Monitor) its working, but all i can get to is loading screen http://winsupersite.com/site-files/winsupersite.com/fil... like this... and after that, external monitor isn't working, it says connection lost check the cable, but cable is fine,, every time i restart it boot it up... and again it happens same, and i tried to start in safe mode, its working everything, i can do anything.. i don't mind to play on safe mode, i tried to enter some games, like GTA San Andreas and World of Warcraft... it can't...when i tried to launch WoW it say "Failed to find suitable display device". so i tought i could enter device manager, and go to display adapters unistall display adapters called "INTEL(r) 945 express chipset family" and install it again, i accidently didn't push f8 to enter safe mode, so it booted normally, and i could boot it normally without those drivers,... but again same problem, when i try to enter some games, i cant play them... So any advice or solution would be fine, please help!,, i dont mind playing on external monitor, as long i can play WoW and GTA SA!

Thanks!

You need to install the correct drivers for whatever display adapter you have on that laptop. If your laptop has a built-in graphics card from AMD or Nvidia, go to their website, if it doesn't go to the website of whoever makes the laptop itself and search for the appropriate drivers for it.

You need display adapters for the make and model of laptop you are using.

Dear Friend i can tell you one thing, i tried every solution, i tried everything that was on internet, i turned on "run" typed "dxdiag" and everything about card is n/a... or unknown or ---.. i just remember last display drivers were INTEL(R) 945 express chipset family... and with those, everything worked fine... i could play everything.. but when i connect to external monitor i cant boot up normally with those adapters.. i can boot up only in safe mode, but in safe mode i cant play games... so my main problem is normal booting.. if you can help me i will give you every specification about my laptop can u find that display adapter and link it to me... because i tried everything.. and it didn't worked... please help :)

Thanks

Try downloading the correct version of this for your operating system and installing.

http://www.techeta.com/intel-gma-950-graphics-driver/

You may wish to make sure old drivers are completely uninstalled by going to Control Panel > System > Devices > Display Adapters > Right Click your Display Adapter and Select 'Properties' > Click on the 'Driver' tab > select 'Uninstall' then reboot your computer, preferably into Safe Mode and proceed to install the drivers you downloaded above.

http://www.helpjet.net/files-Acer-Aspire-5710.html#AVid... Card

Video Card Drivers there...

I'm essentially Googling 'Acer Aspire 5710 Driver Download'. I've read in many threads that Laptop GPUs and Integrated Graphics Chipsets are often particular to the manufacturer of the device so you cant download 'Generic' Intel drivers but rather Acer's own drivers for the device.

When you attempt to boot are you seeing the boot process crash/hang during the access of a specific file? Where does the boot failure occur?

http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/drivers

Search Notebook > Aspire > 5710 then select VGA Driver 7.14.10.1280.

Still hoping the chipset just requires a very specific driver.

As always, ensure old drivers are completely removed and that you reboot your system before attempting to install new drivers.

I'm running out of ideas. It might be a bootmngr file error. I believe you've tried the included Windows CD repair function? Also the manufacturer's included driver disk?

Beginning to think maybe you should consider an OS reinstall to rule out corrupt files.

This behaviour indicates a software issue rather than a monitor hardware issue, since you get monitor display in Safe-Mode and during boot.

You may also try running the Driver Installer as Administrator by right-clicking the Driver Installer and selecting Properties > Compatibility Tab > check the 'Run as Administrator' box and then clicking 'OK'.

If that doesn't work then you could also go to Device Manager > Display Adapters > Right-click your Graphics Chipset > Update Driver Software > Choose Driver Manually > Give the File Path to the Installer.

Lastly you could also try downloading the 64-bit Drivers and running them as 32-bit to see if that helps.
