In Intel's last two generations: Intel Ivy Bridge (Core i3/i5/i7) and Intel Sandy Bridge (Core i3/i5/i7), third party applications such as Lucid Virtu MVP claimed they were able to take advantage of parallel GPU computing and thus utilize the IGPU in simultaneous with a discrete graphics card alas unlocking Intels Quick-sync and a host of virtualized offerings such as Virtual Vsync.

Being an owner of a Haswell I7-4770k an expensive CPU which has seen gains of about 15% from the previous generation, along with the outright debauchery of the (TIM) problem. The overheating has cost us all money having to spend extra money on liquid cooling systems or having a case with a 150 fans slightly hovering above your workspace:

Question:is there a 3rdparty application or some other way I can squeeze the miserable amount of 20 execution units , and the clock speed of 400 MHz. HD 4600, like its predecessor, will automatically overclock itself up to a maximum of 1350 MHz.
Intel has also used the revision as an opportunity to upgrade compatibility with graphics standards. The new IGP supports Direct X 11.1, as well as Open CL 1.2 and Open GL 4.0. These tweaks are not hugely important in the short-term, but it’s always good for a graphics component to support the latest standards.

I know compared to my video card we are speaking about minuata ASUS 770, but hey I paid for this heatsink, and I want to pull everything out of it I can!

Thanks in advance for the courtesy of a reply.

James

The answer to your question is: Maybe. Frankly it's not worth the time and effort to look for, unless someone is really, really bored. The only methods I'm aware of to enhance the iGPU's performance are through OS settings and "custom" drivers. I really don't recommend the custom (read: hacked) drivers unless you're really good at recovering from software/driver/firmware faults and corruption.

Even an entry-level GPU is much more capable than the iGPU - buy a cheap one and call it a day:)

Thank you for your time in writing a responce. I just wonder why there is not a easy way to do this. We can induce. Parallel computing via a sli bridge, but to get on board graphics to work in unison with a graphics card is virtually impossible.
