Questions regarding to Catalyst Conrol Center settings (DVI setting and color temperature)

I was playing around with various settings in CCC until I came across two specific options under "my digital flat panels" tab which I have no idea what it's about or how I need to set it.
I'm currently using HD7950 and Benq G2420HD connected via DVI cable.

Firstly, under properties I came across "DVI settings" with two options and one of them being enabled (called "Alternate DVI operational mode"). I have no idea if this is the default settings or not but I have no memories of tweaking this option so I'm guessing it is. It seems like it prevents display corruptions though after searching for information regarding to this option I came across few posts indicating that BOTH of these options should be disabled.
As a result, do I need to disable this option? I haven't come across any display corruption related problems so far (apart from rare screen flicking which it's most likely caused by mismatched voltages on my GPU).

Next under display color everything has been left as it is (default values) except for one option which is "color temperature control" and it has been tweaked. Again I have no memories of changing values for this option but it has been set to 6400K. The default value is 6500K and if I use this the screen is slightly cooler as I can see the whites being a bit bluish.
After further researching, it looks like 6500K is the ideal temperature to set as "it's pretty close to indirect sunlight". My question is do I need to change the value to default or the current value is sufficient enough? This might depends on personal tastes but I'd want to view the color originally as much as I can. Though setting it to default value is kind of awkward as it's a bit strange to see cooler colors... Maybe I got used to seeing warmer colors or something...

Thank you, help would be appreciated it.

Ok, I opened up CCC just for you.... It seems as though my "color setting" is put as "use media player" bubble, so basically default. And in the DVI settings, I have the first one unchecked and second box checked.

I'd also prefer that but the fact that one of the options is being enabled with no indication whether it's a default value or not and the other option being tweaked where I didn't even touched it seems too weird...

I think you've went to the wrong option for color one. Did you checked color temperature under display color in "my digital flat-panels"?

That said, thanks for the info anyway. However I will wait for more replies as I'd like to hear other people's suggestion as well.
