Hey all, so I recently upgraded to a 290, and I had to uninstall the nvidia drivers as I previously had 760 sli, so I did that and installed the updated amd catalyst program. Everything was fine for a day, did a bit of gaming here and there, but the next day when I turned my PC on, the screen kept flickering on and off everytime something needed to be updated on the screen.

So I uninstalled the drivers on control panel and rebooted, and everything seemed fine, however I noticed that the screen wasn't the tiny resolution when I first installed the card without the drivers, and there is no amd drivers in CP and so it looks like im running on ghost drivers...?

I want to uninstall them as everytime I run afterburner my entire computer crashes.

Heres the only AMD drivers I have installed at the moment,

Try to make sure ALL Nvidia drivers are gone, do a complete and full driver uninstall for AMD, and use the disk that came with your GPU to install, that way you KNOW that drivers aren't the problem.

First of all you need to TOTALLY remove all the old drivers. Use this link.
http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/
Note:
Select the respective company(i.e Nvidia or ATI) drivers to be uninstalled.
Use clean and restart option.
And then install the new drivers after rebooting.
