My parent's computer is atrocious when it comes to speed. Literally 30-40seconds to load internet... I've had enough.
Early christmas present? :p

Looking for a basic build just for basic web surfing... maybe some really light games (Roller coaster tycoon?) etc. Want this thing to last a while with their light use.
Will need a wireless card as well.

I don't know much at all about low end builds... so would appreciate it if someone helped me out :)

Dont forget an optical drive.. I took the overall build morg had and put more reliable parts in like a seasonic PSU (CX series are crap) and I also changed the motherboard and HDD.

Solution

That build doesn't include an OS. You need to buy an OS. If you pirate then you might run into problems with activation or malware being installed along with the OS. If you use Linux then your parents might not know how to use it and some software might have compatibility issues.

I'm pretty sure OP knows he needs an OS. Most people do not include OS in the initial build cost.
