My hard drive and my disk drive aren't showing up in my BIOS boot priority at all.

This is my first time building a computer - and everything has been running fairly smoothly until I the part where I need to set the boot priority on my HDD and disk drive. The BIOS is not recognizing either one. I get no option in any menus, and when I pull up the boot priority, nothing is listed. Are my cables perhaps loose? Or is there a more serious issue? Also, I get one short beep whenever the computer is booted up.

Part List:
CPU - AMD A8-5600K 3.6GHz Quad-Core FM2
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3M Micro ATX FM2+
Mem - G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8 GB (2x4) DDR3-1600
Storage - Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Video Card - XFX Radeon R7 260X
Optical Drive - Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer
OS - Windows 8.1 OEM 64-bit

I'll try messing with the SATA cables and see if that fixes it. Otherwise, I dunno.
What do?

Solution
I fixed it, actually - it turns out that I'm an idiot and forgot to re-connect my SATA cables after I tested the motherboard outside the case. Stupid mistake of mine - but everything seems to be working just fine now. Thanks for your help anyways!
