i7 4790k
sapphire r9 290 tri-x
8gb of ram

what settings should my computer be running? right now im running at the 1280x720. i feel like my computer should be doing better...

sorry about the lack of info. im running 22 fps on 1280x720 and 10fps on 1920x1080. i dont know what im doing wrong, i have v-sync off. i just put this pc together 3 days ago.

Then there is something else going on here. Do you have any other games that perform as expected? What are your CPU and GPU operating temperatures at idle (like when you initially power the system on) and under load (like when heavy gaming)?

Also, what make/model power supply are you using?

ok i think i made a stupid mistake. i went to go open up my computer and realized that my dvi cable was plugged in to the motherboard......... i plugged it into my graphics card and now im getting 40-70 fps in city's on 1920x1080.....
