Hey everyone. I just bought a new 1200 wat power supply corsair one. I am having problems while gaming though and with the program GPU-Z. After I game for about an hour I like to alt tab and check GPU-Z to see if my temperatures are fine. This has become a horrible habit since I do it all the time. My old PC parts in my old case everything worked fine, but I bought a new case for more room and now I am starting to get some problems. Every time I alt tab from games and open up GPU-Z my monitor goes black like my GPU has crashed or something and my monitor says no displays found. I have to reset my PC to solve the issue. I am thinking this is hardware related. Did I buy a faulty PSU or is it my GPU faulty or overheating? I am not sure if it is a heating issue cause I did manage to check temps in my CCC program and it looked okay. Thank you for reading and I look forward to your replies.

Edit Reason: My display settings (monitor) was set to 60hz when I have a 120hz monitor. I switched it to 120hz. Could this have solved the issue? Or not? Thank you! Going to try again now.

Let us know if this helped.

If not reseat the card and check if the power cables are connected well, also update drivers.Check the cables from the monitor to the gpu too.

I need to sleep now. It is 2:22 AM here in Western Australia. I know I should of started this thread when I had a whole day ahead of me to do some testing, but I was worried and I sort of jumped the gun. Anyway I will bump this thread in the morning sometime. Wish me luck! Thank you everyone.

Okay I want to overclock, but sadly I can't (I think). I bought this 1200 wat power supply so I can overclock. In my Assassins Creed Black Flag game the game was running amazing, but then the picture froze and it sounded like the game was still going but with a frozen screen. I ctrl alt delete to bring up the task manager and it said the program was not responding. I didn't even have a mouse cursor or anything and I had to tab down until it was highlighted over assassins creed black flag and then click delete on my keyboard. Could my GPU be faulty if it is not overclocking? Thank you!

I can change the Power limit settings to 50% fine, but when I change the GPU clock settings passed 5% my GPU poops itself. I can also adjust the High Performance memory clock settings to how high I want also. I wonder what the GPU clock settings does, and why it wont let me increase it past 5%.

Is 40 degrees good for idle temps? Gets around 70 degrees on BF4 max settings resolution scale 200%. Just worried about my temperatures. Thank you!

Edit Reason: Also my radiator fan didn't end up fitting in the my new case I purchased properly lol. It is screwed in by 2 screws only not 4, but it is still stable. Also I am not sure if having the fan blow heat into my case is a good idea. Any ideas on how radiator fans work? Thank you!

Did you? How's the alt/tabbing problem now?

The temps are fine.If you get problems after overclocking the gpu and things are good when not overclocked it's the overclocking and should you go for lower clocks.

The radiator should imo at least blow the heat out of the case.Like this,

My VDDC is 1.500 V, VDDC Current is 70.0 A and VDDC power is 85.2 W I don't know what that means. I have overclocked this card through CCC to max. I don't know what that means. I have overclocked my card really high and she is running nicely. Thank you so much Vic 40! :D

Yeah my radiator blows down into my case, but I don't see any high temperatures. My motherboard isn't the best design and my CPU cooler is huge so sadly my radiator fan didn't fit in properly. I knew I should of studied the case a bit more before buying it. I love my case though. My radiator fan is only screwed in by 2 screws, but it wont fall down since it seems stable enough. My CPU temps are very good also. They are 30 degrees idle sometimes in the late 20s and gets into the late 50s full load when playing really high graphical games such as BF4.
