how do i shut of the sims when the buffering wont stop?

my sims game is buffering and it wont stop I tried different ways other websites worked on but it still does not work how do I shut it off?

Umm, press Ctrl + Alt + Del, choose Task Manager, click the Processes tab, and right click on "sims.exe" (1-2-3 whatever) and choose End Process Tree.

That will shut down the Sims games.
