My Asus S400C laptop was working perfectly yesterday until I left it on sleep mode for a few hours. When I came back to it, the WiFi connection started faltering and soon I was no longer able to connect to the internet. However, my laptop detects all the available WiFi signals (I live in an apartment and there are many signals that show up) and also detects my home router. Other computers and devices in my home connect to my router except my laptop. I've also tried connecting my laptop to my phone hotspot but it also failed. I've tried system restoring my laptop, uninstalling and reinstalling my network adapter drivers, and running cmd and resetting ipconfig, but none of these worked for me.

I'm not quite sure what to do next! Hopefully someone with more knowledge on this will be able to give me some advice... Thanks!! :)

If windows is not reporting a hardware problem with the device.

Try using you Fn key and the numbered symbol with the wi-fi on off toggle.
Or you in fact have a wi-fi on off switch on the laptop face and the hardware is half disabled because of the switches state.
Make sure on the windows side that the adapter drive is enabled.
You can do this by the control pannel of windows, network and internet, view network and status
Click on change adapter settings.
Select the wi-fi adapter, left double click on it.
and select enable.

Yes I've tried the Fn key and the F2 button but that wasn't the issue :( Also, I do not have a wifi on/off switch on the laptop face!
And yes the wifi adapter is enabled! I've tried disabling and enabling it over and over but it doesn't help :(
