Hello everyone!
So I downloaded the game Watch_Dogs hoping to play this popular game. I was shocked when I saw that @ Ultra settings while driving I would get about 15 fps. Even @ low settings, the bare minimum, I got 24 fps driving. This was absurd. I checked online for benchmark results for Watch_Dogs and found that my card got >52< FPS @ MAX settings at 1080p. I was extremely shocked. This led me to make a series of tests.
First I messed around with overclocking. I am a total noob at this and put it at 1200 core clock but I only got 2 or 3 FPS boost. I downloaded the GPU benchmarker Furmark and GPU-Z to monitor my GPU. The results I found were shocking. in FurMark, the GPU wasn't afraid to go over 60 degrees celsius. It went to 65, 70, 75, 80, peeking at 85 when I ran Furmark for about 10 minutes. The GPU's temperature while running the game however was only 55 degrees celsius. This, alongside a loong series of tests I did and posted on this very forum seeking answers led me to beleieve that the card is not allowing itself to go into "high performance mode". Maybe the card isn't recognizing Watch_Dogs as a heavy duty game, and treating it like a Flash application or something. In fact, I'm sure of it.

When playing something like Assasins Creed 4, also by Ubisoft, I get a solid 50 FPS at Ultra settings. With Battlefield 4 I get 60 FPS @ Ultra settings. I think you see my point here.

So, TL;DR :

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to force my card into high performance mode/ make it see that Watch_Dogs is a demanding game?
Is there some kind of profile I can force it into or something like that?

Please read everything :3

Despite writing all of that, you have given basically no information on your system. I don't even know what gpu you are using. Almost none of what you wrote is relevant.

Please list all the components of your system- CPU, GPU, ram, mobo, PSU.

Since basically all I know is you have fps issues in watch dogs- I can say watch dogs isn't well optimized and will punish anything but absolutely top end Cpus. FPS issues while driving have been reported by numerous users on all kinds of different systems.

Pretty much what Stokes1790 said.

Watch_Dogs is a crap game to judge performance on,the PC version was intentionally crippled by Ubi so PCs dont look as strong as they are compared to the next-gen consoles.

need to know your system specs… and watch dogs is a horribly coded crappy port for the pc.
