Hi guys,

My issue I have bought a new graphics card for my pc as I am currently using the integrated graphics card.
The graphic card is as follows http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/amdradeon...

I have also increased my PSU from a 300w to 500w to support this upgrade.

The motherboard i have is the http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail...

For some reason every time I instert the GPU my pc wont boot and just have no signal to the monitor. I have tried to disable my onboard graphics in both BIOS (there is no option to) and in device manager. I have also had another card sent out as i queried it could possibly be faulty.

So my only other guess is that the card is just not compatible with the motherboard?

If anyone could help me it would be much appreciated.

you need to check for a bios update. some older boards don't support pci ex 3.0 cards without a bios update

no you don't need anything like that, should be just software install and a long wait/cross fingers to not get a power out exactly while updating. the jumpers should be already on the normal mode, you need to switch it to the next 2 pins only to reset it in case trouble. but ok, follow the exact steps on the motherboard manual to update, safer that way.
