Hi I am trying to decide between this laptop and desktop, I am looking for whichever one has the better gaming power. I have a budget of $1300, and desktop is $300 under budget becuase I had to include stuff like keyboard and monitor in it.

Desktop: Digital Storm Vanquish II Level 3 -

Intel Core i5 4590 3.3Ghz
8 GB Ram
GTX 760

Laptop: Sager NP8268-S -

The desktop will beat the pants off of the laptop. You should still probably build your own though, you could save 200 bucks.

if you don't need to carry it around then yes, desktop is better always. laptops of any kind sacrifice speed for portability.

Agreed with both responses above. Laptops CPUs, HDD and the like lack the physical specs from a hardware perspective to even compete with a desktop. The laptop parts cannot even take the power that desktops can put out.

It's really a no brainer. In order to game on your laptop, you will have to take out the battery and play it with the power cord plugged in. Otherwise, the battery will get fried/overheat, etc. And if you game with just the battery, you will not get nearly the performance.

IMO, I don't understand why anyone would want to game on a laptop anyway? Just how much gaming are you going to do on the go?...LOL ;)

I agree with this person except the last "IMO" part. If you REALLY love portability and are willing to pay a bit more for it while also knowing the fact that laptops die out faster than a standard desktop, then who's to stop you? Go ahead and get a gaming laptop, they'll run your games great but like I said... they will die faster. If you REALLY love upgrading, spending less, playing games on prettier graphics/settings, and don't mind the non-portability factor, get it! It's ultimately your choice. :)

Neither are incorporated in his original build so I assumed he was uninterested in overclocking.

Buy the gaming desktop, because:
-Gaming Desktop have more RAM "space"
-Gaming Desktop have more power
-Gaming Desktop can get 1200 FPS on Minecraft Game, wich Laptop just get 600/700 FPS, so... Gaming Desktop is not lag on Minecraft Multiplayer or Single Player...
This is my tip, but that is your decision! Gaming laptop

OK, so what everyone is saying here is GET A DESKTOP! Laptops aren`t worth it unless you go to LAN parties every day and stuff like that:)

Battery does not gets overheated by gaming or any other heavy usage scenario.
If somehow it did (although it cant in normal circumstances) there are safety features built in to avoid frying it.
