will cpu overheat in sleep mode

I have an AMD FX6300 cpu cooled by a corsair h55, if I put my PC in sleep mode, will power still be to the CPU, the pump stops when it goes in sleep, will the CPU overheat?

When you put it in sleep mode the computer basicly is like in a coma, a semi-power off, that means that the CPU is turned off until you wake the PC :)
